Venice!!

So after researching venice i can safely say i have definitely gone off it!! Its a beautiful place but I feel its caused me so much agro!

Anyway after a well needed talk i'm focusing my research on Burano (a small village on its own island just off Venice).I do feel inspired by the coloured houses on the streets which match the fisherman's boat, (Tradtion).

So back to researching and linking for me!! ..

Venice

The city of loooove!

I have been researching like crazy for 3rd year project which i am basing it on Venice and the romance behind it. I have found that the worst features in venice (bridge of sighs) has a romantic meaning behind it being that if a couple kiss on a gondola under the bridge they will have the luck of love.

I have really enjoyed researching Venice, however i have felt it is a bit of a drag as there are things to research stemming off from every piece of information!!

It was a choice between Venice and Paris and i am glad i chose Venice as it is different and not the stereotypical romance of paris with the tower etc.



It was this image which swayed me towards Venice as it has ROMANCE written all over it!

Wedges

So its 3 week today till Marbella!

I've been browsing all over the highstreet for a pair of wedges. shockingly i have not found a pair which has caught my eye!! Granted i have only gone to Keighley town centre and Bradford .. but surly there should be a single pair!!!

Nail inc.

I was trawling through web pages and stumbled across nails inc. The colours they produce their nailpolish in are so extreme in the way you could find almost any colour you wished for!

These are the 'Ice Cream' shades... they are all really fresh colours and have the potential to really make an outfit which is based on blank colours throughout the summer! Thes shades of polish come in at £18.00 for the 4 colours! This is a great buy since 1 nail polish alone normally costs about £10.00

They also do an amazing false eye lash range!! These range massivly in size and style! Personally i would say that these style of lashes are not for the beginner uses as they do take a bit of getting used to and make over the eyes if its the first time! For all you not going on holiday i suggest estee lauder duo bronzing powder! This gives your face a natural tanned glow with no worry of orange faces!! Coming in at £26.00 its not cheap but defo worth it!

Holiday clothing!!

So 7 weeks and 6 days (yes i am counting) till Marbella.. my summer clothing is pretty low and feeling it needs 'sprucing' up.. was looking at this weeks Reveal and saw an ad for a bikini in Boohoo... anyway got myself on their website and found some fab fab fab items!!

Triangle bikini comes in at a fantastic steal of £10!! Ruffle front bikini comes in also at a bargain of £18!

The blue tee comes in at cheap £8 along with the Maxi dress which will make your bank balance happy while you look fab with a price tag of only £30!!

Over summer i need need need to improve my illustrations for final year!! EEP!

I need them to look more realistic but still portraying the fun and cartoon like style... I love this style i found on google!!

Giorgio Armani

Giorgio Armani has now decided to open up his own hotel in the worlds tallest building in Dubai named Burj Khalifa.

The hotel holds 8 restaurants which range from Italian food to Japanese food. It

The Armani Hotel Dubai boasts not one, not two, not even three or four - but EIGHT restauarants, ranging from Italian (certo!) and Indian to Japanese and Mediterranean.

The hotel has been designed by Armani himself and takes pride in this possibly even more so than his fashion collections.

Mulberry

Mulberry designs are ALWAYS delicious in stlye. i love the Mulberry Leah tote iin hot pink, its so vibrant and WILL add colour to a dull, drab outfit.


Mulberry Mitzy bags are also stunning, they have a really basic shape which is large with a long open zip for easy access to the contents. i love this pastel shade as its really summary and will add the coll calming look to an outfit.

i was flicking through some old mags this morning and came across the chloe paddington bags...

..... This is a stunning bag of the basic paddington style. I love this style but think now its got a bit boring and needed a twist to it.

I came across a new style of paddington square shoulder bag which is a great shape and has the new twist i was looking for! ...

Radley bags

new collection of Radley bags are now online.. they are a range of sorbet colours which are fresh and calming.




They are a lot more mature looking than the older designs, i do feel this has a lot to do with the toned down colours. The style is also a lot more sophisticated which creates a much more calm feel.

Waistcoats..

I'd not thought about waistcoats in the fashion for a while, my friend wore one last night styled with lots of jewellery and some short shorts. She looked FAB and i think its time for us all to dig them out and style them with current trends for a fresh new look!!

Belts

.. colour palette 2010... some pale tones in the palette but mixed with the bright/ bold tones to brighten the palette up.. im loving the bright colours as they are really fresh and in your face but still will give the classy look to an outfit.

Childrens bikini shocker!

I picked up a paper today and across the front was all about the childrens bikini shocker and how bad it is... with bikini images from 'leader' Primark, their padded bikini tops were selling at £4.00 and were flying off the shelves. After this scandal they have all been removed to avoid feeding into the media about the way it draws sexual attention.

The supposed bikini which is plastered all over the papers is a pink padded bikini with stars on it. Its said that the stars attract sexual attention. In my eyes i think the media need to get a grip. i mean a young child wants to wear a star bikini on her holiday and look nice. is this really such a crime?!?1 what has happened in this day and age?? seiously needs to sort itself out!!

Parents are being blamed for their children wandering around in such items.. so basically all you parents out there dress your children fro head to toe and do not let an inch of them be on show or you will be accused of 'exploiting' your child...

Sandals...

Since the weather has been so nice i have been looking at my sandal collection and its really lacking colour! This made me then start looking at new styles and colours to add a fresh look into the wadrobe...

I LOVE these sandals from Kurt Geiger.. cashing in at £190.00 .. I'd say they were worth a weeks summer wage though!!

Well this has been a sunny weekend.. i say its time to ditch the tights and get your legs out! yes they may be pale but who says pale isnt beautiful. anyway with this sun they may even catch a slight glow about them! if legs are not your feature opt for leggins and a nice summary floaty top! this is bound to get you noticed and will get you in the mood for summer!!

Socks are MASSIVE hit...

Ankle and knee length socks are set to hit the highstreet and designer stores/ catwalks big in Spring/ Summer 2010.... They have already featured on Christian Dior catwalk and are set for many more.

They are definalty the new tights this season and with the weather set to be a hot summer there will be no cold bare legs!!

They really do sex an outfit up and is a great alternative to stockings!!

Breast cancer gets onto the high street!!

Breast cancer ... High street stores such as Topshop, River Island, Marks and Spencer, Superdry, Warehouse are just to name a few of the stores which are taking part in raising money for breast cancer. The collections have been designed for this purpose and 30% of the cost of the garment goes to the charity!!

This is set to be sometime in 2010 so make sure you dont miss it!

Get buying as your not only helping yourself having new fashions but are helping them unfortunate people with this disease.

Amy Winehouse takes control!!

She has designed a collection of lesiure/ gym wear for Fred Perry, this consists of polo shirts, jumper dresses etc. Not sure this is going to be a bit hit.. not only has the Fred Perry brand be labeled trashy and 'chavvy' but Amy herself wouldnt win a popularity contest. Coupled with the fact she is a singer NOT a designer.. hang up them pencils Winehouse it will you no favours!!
