Breast cancer gets onto the high street!!

Breast cancer ... High street stores such as Topshop, River Island, Marks and Spencer, Superdry, Warehouse are just to name a few of the stores which are taking part in raising money for breast cancer. The collections have been designed for this purpose and 30% of the cost of the garment goes to the charity!!

This is set to be sometime in 2010 so make sure you dont miss it!

Get buying as your not only helping yourself having new fashions but are helping them unfortunate people with this disease.

Amy Winehouse takes control!!

She has designed a collection of lesiure/ gym wear for Fred Perry, this consists of polo shirts, jumper dresses etc. Not sure this is going to be a bit hit.. not only has the Fred Perry brand be labeled trashy and 'chavvy' but Amy herself wouldnt win a popularity contest. Coupled with the fact she is a singer NOT a designer.. hang up them pencils Winehouse it will you no favours!!

PRICEY BUT PERFECT!

This brand is AMAZING! Whether its their underwear or swimwear its bound to catch your eye!

They are very pricey but WELL worth it.. being in swimwear is the time you will ever be seen in public in such a small amount of clothes so make it worth looking at!!

Fair Trade!

22nd Feb - 7th March

We are now nearing the end of fairtrade fortnight! Shops have been doing all they can to support this event. I noticed in 'Essentials' the major fair trade products were moved to nearer the counter and more on view as you walked into the shop.

Also yesterday in the student union i saw UCLAN hoodies which were fair trade. This was a great idea as its still promoting the uni with their logo but people are aware of the fair trade behind them as their colours and styles are different to the original ones!

Oscars!!

So its the Oscars 2010 coming up on the 7th March!!

The celebrities are all finishing their outfits on hope that they dont get on the worst dressed list!!

2009 WORST DRESSED CELEBRITIES...

Personally i really like Beyonces (left) dress but i dont think the colours so her any favours.. they remind me of the yellow and black wedgewood!!


I do not like Sophie (middle) and Mileys (right)choice as i think they both are dressed too old or too young for their age!! Noone wants to look like mutton dressed as lamb!!

BEST DRESS OSCARS 2009!!



Again the little black dress doesnt fail these celebs! The hint of colour really draws attention which clearly worked with them being labelled best dressed!! The pink dress is very 'bridal' but really stand out from the black which has gained her the title. The pink is a very pastel so its not too in your face and is subtle!

Debenhams..

Debenhams is the first british high street store to have a disabled woman modeling in their campaigns.

This is great as it shows equality and that anything is possible but i do feel this is a bid to get media attention and this is what it has attracted. I am not saying a disabled person shouldnt be allowed to model, i think it is a great idea. i do however feel that doing interviews about it degrades the model and makes the public focus on her disability.
